Gorgeous composition of colours and texture Heather. . I like it very much. The cute litle warbler looks very well. Great catch.

Thanks Yves. I had thought about removing the dead branches but am glad I didn't now. The birds love this bush just the way it is so I'll leave it be. This was a very special capture for me and I didn't have to go far to get it either :)

Nice work capturing this shot of the Warbler Heather. Very nice composition and depth of field. It is so interesting what birds will use to strengthen and line their nests. The image really does tell the story. PS: I have not tackled my windows yet either. 😌

Thanks Debra. It was so neat to watch her tug away at the bark and she showed a lot of strength for her size too. About the windows.. glad I'm not the only one, lol. I need the ladder for this one and it's still hard to get at but it's worth a try :)

Description
It took quite an effort for the yellow warbler to pull these strands of bark off a dead branch on a honeysuckle bush. They will be used to line and strengthen the nest. Photo quality is pretty grainy as it was taken a few days ago through a grimy window with heavy smoke in the air but I wanted to share it anyway.
